I’ve had my website “www.lucyrosedesigns.com” for many years. At first, it was just one page—very unfancy. Then a friend did some programming so it had a few pages. Then I hired a company to design a more advanced website.
I was supposed to regularly update my website with changes in my art, projects, and news. But I didn’t.
Then, in January, my website suddenly disappeared. The web design company was sold–several times — until the last company went out of business.
With my tiny art-writing “business” I didn’t want to spend a fortune hiring a web-designer. So—what to do? I’ve never thought of myself as a techy. My eyes glaze over if I have to read an instruction manual.
Nevertheless, I decided to do it on my own with good help. My web host, Hostmonster, offered a training program. For a flat fee for one month, I could call the trainers as often as I liked during that month in 25-minute sessions.
This was truly a challenge! I had help from a dozen or more web-trainers. They were all polite and patient as I tried very hard to learn. Sometimes I called them many times in a day.
Am I a techy??? Certainly not! But I did it! Yay!
So–welcome to my new-old website. It has the same name – www.lucyrosedesigns.com – but a new look, and it includes my art, books, speaking, teaching, and even a library of my blogs. If you go to the section on my website called “Oh-My-Blog”, you’ll find a selection of recent and past blogs.
Let me know what you think!
