We are in a 1950s science fiction movie— “The Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” In this movie, alien plant spores fall down from outer space and grow into large seed pods, each of which is designed to replicate the physical characteristics, memories, and personalities of a sleeping person and take over his or her body. 

These non-humans are alien replicas of the former human selves. They look like ordinary humans, but they lack all human feeling. Most alarming, these aliens do NOT know that they are aliens…

In our non-normal world today, we too are invaded by aliens—a virus that wants to take over our bodies. It is a sticky virus—jumping through the air, sitting on plain surfaces, hunting for us…

The virus is dangerous to humans, making us sick—and even killing some of us when they take over our bodies. But not every invaded body looks sick or has any of the symptoms of the virus.

This is what is most terrifying—that an ever-increasing number of persons are invaded but do not know it!

So, we can walk down the street and not know who is invaded and who is not.

We keep our distance as we pass strangers on the street. But we can still be friendly. So, I smile and wave as we pass by — it makes me feel good if they smile too!
