We have a new dance and everybody (well, almost everybody) is doing it. It’s called the “Pandemic Dance.”
It’s different from old-fashioned dances which require a certain intimacy between partners and sometimes with others on the dance floor. When you’re doing the Pandemic Dance, you don’t hold hands with anyone or swing your partner.
What you do is AVOID everyone. So, when you see someone coming near, you step AWAY. If at all possible, you try to be SIX FEET away from anyone else.
If you’re doing this dance on a lonely country road, no problem. But I live in the city—downtown Minneapolis—so this dance can have very complicated steps—weave, bob, side-step, shuffle… Music is optional, but it has a rhythm.
