Lucy Rose Fischer is an award-winning Minnesota author, artist and social scientist. Her most recent books are: The Journalist: Life and Loss in America’s Secret War (2020), Grow Old With Me (2019), and I’m New at Being Old (2010). She specializes in painting upside-down, inside-out and backwards on hand blown glass with whimsical and vibrantly colored designs. Before launching her art career, she had a distinguished career as a researcher, specializing in the study of aging. She is featured on the Twin Cities Public Television program “Life Changing Art.”

THE GHOST WRITER
“The Ghost Writer” is a short play by Lucy Rose Fischer. The play tells the story of ghost-writing, THE JOURNALIST–a memoir of her late brother, Jerry Rose, who was a journalist in Vietnam in the early 1960s. The play is read by Barbara Reid, as Lucy Rose, and Ryan London Levin, as Jerry Rose. Savannah Reich reads the stage directions.
